The goal of the project is to make the Infinity Engine games available on a wide range of platforms forever, fix or avoid old bugs, add new features and provide a superb platform for mod development. All done in the open by players for players.

    MiniDebConf Gaming Edition: GemRB talk and Q&A on 23rd November

    During the 21st and 22nd of November the Debian project is organising an online MiniDebConf dedicated to gaming and game development. The two day event is filled with longer, shorter and lightning talks — do check out the full schedule.

    PlayStation Vita port included in sources

    GemRB has been running on the PlayStation Vita since roughly the last release, when Taras “Northfear” Rohozhynskyi published his work for the first time. The port includes the necessary input support, some performance improvements, an aspect-ratio preserving display mode and easy launching through its LiveArea content manager. All of the games should be working, but BG2 is still limited by I/O performance, so it’s less playable than the rest.
